We are looking for a committed 1-1 Secondary Tutor to provide tailored academic support to secondary school students across Harrow. This is a temporary, contract position offering flexible, part-time hours, ideal for those passionate about helping students excel in their studies whilst maintaining a work- life balance.Key Details:
- Position: 1-1 Secondary Tutor

Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring secondary-aged students
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check

Desirable Qualities:
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)

Job Responsibilities:As a 1-1 Secondary Tutor, your primary responsibility will be to support secondary students in their academic development, particularly in core subjects. You will adapt your teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student, helping them overcome challenges and succeed academically. Your specific duties will include:
- Provide personalised 1-1 tutoring in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science, adjusting your approach to suit each student’s learning style and needs.
- Identify strengths and areas for improvement, developing tailored lesson plans to target academic growth.
- Support exam preparation and homework assignments, ensuring students have the tools and techniques to perform well in assessments and exams.
- Monitor and track student progress, giving constructive feedback to both students and their parents/guardians on their achievements and areas that require attention.
- Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging confidence and motivation to learn and succeed.
- Adapt teaching strategies for students with additional needs (if applicable), ensuring all students can access and benefit from the tutoring sessions.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and any concerns or recommendations.
