You will receive team clinical and cultural supervision and be part of a broader Violence Abuse and Neglect team in SESLHD.The RoleThis role includes responsibilities for supervision, quality improvement initiatives, education delivery to other health care professionals and the teaching of students on clinical placement.Provide a comprehensive specialist counselling, support and advocacy service for persons aged over 14 who have been sexually assaulted.*Please note position commences late January 2025*The Benefits

Selection Criteria * Being female is recognized as a genuine occupation qualification and is authorized under section 31(2h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

  • Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and eligibility for practicing membership of the AASW or recognised 4 year degree in Psychology and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
  • Extensive post graduate clinical experience in trauma specific service provision in sexual assault, domestic violence and child protection and commitment to integrated ways of working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels to ensure the victim’s needs are met are their rights are upheld.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, education and support to others in providing service excellence to victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
  • Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
