We are on the lookout for a Senior Project Engineer who will play a pivotal role in delivering medium-large-scale civil projects. This exciting opportunity begins with a focus on pre-contracts and estimating, allowing you to get involved in the strategic planning phase of projects, before transitioning into a hands-on site-based delivery role.The Role: This dual-phase position offers the chance to impact projects from the very start. Initially, you’ll be responsible for the pre-contracts and estimating phase, collaborating with senior management to prepare winning bids and accurate cost estimations for large civil projects. Your strong commercial acumen and attention to detail will be critical in identifying risks, opportunities, and innovative approaches to project execution.
Once the groundwork is laid, you’ll transition into a key site-based role, overseeing the actual delivery of infrastructure projects. As the Senior Project Engineer, you will take ownership of project timelines, budgets, and team leadership, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the pre-contracts phase, providing accurate cost estimations and risk assessments
- Collaborate with estimators, planners, and senior management to prepare project bids and proposals
- Transition to a site-based role to manage project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards
- Oversee project teams and provide technical leadership on large civil infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards at all stages of the project
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and reporting, identifying any issues and implementing solutions proactively
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and site staff
