So, if you’re an innovative and forward-thinking individual who values collaboration and wants to contribute to the next big discovery in the mining sector, protecting our workers’ health and safety, protecting tenants and consumers, transforming energy supply and emissions, whilst rolling out new technology to deliver excellent customer service and achieve success, then DEMIRS is the agency for you.The roleAs the Relieving Tenure Officer, you will perform the role of Tenure Officer in Head Office and Mining Registrar in outstation offices, or Perth-based Mining Registrar positions, as required which includes dealing with applications for mining tenements, applications under the Mining Act 1978, other acts relating to mineral tenure and determining these applications under delegated authority from the Minister. This role provides services to other government agencies whilst relieving as the Mining Registrar in regional locations, process mining tenement applications, prepare recommendation minutes to the Minister for Mines and Petroleum or determination of various applications. Additionally, your skills and experience in processing and registering dealing, maintaining tenement, information databases and provide response to mining industry enquiries on matters relating to mining tenure registration functions will be key to your success in this role.When working in Head Office, you will have access to flexible work arrangements including working at home.Please refer to the Job Description Form (JDF) attached for further information regarding the position, including any specific requirements, capabilities and pre-employment checks which will be assessed as part of the selection process.While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department for the next 12 months, from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.Further informationPlease contact Jacqueline Styants, Team Leader Resource Tenure on (08) 9222 3312 or via or visit .
