In everything we do, we take an approach to protect, grow, and innovate WA’s economy, community, and environment.About the opportunityThere is currently one (1) 18-month fixed-term opportunity available for immediate filling with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.We are looking for a committed Project Officer (Compliance Training and Development) to help our branch by overseeing and assisting in the creation and execution of diverse initiatives to achieve strategic objectives. This position will be pivotal in the development of the Compliance Training and Development unit by assisting the Manager in the completion of projects as required. You will be responsible for assisting with the administration and management of continuation training and development of compliance officers within DPIRD. This includes interacting with stakeholders, writing and organising reports, carrying out investigation and analysis, keeping tabs on the development of the project, and assessing results. To guarantee the effective completion of the project, you will also be expected to participate in emergency management exercises, identify and manage risks, assist with training course logistics and administration in-course, and carry out additional tasks as needed.We are looking for individuals with:
- Demonstrated expertise in handling and evaluating complex data.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Compliance Officer training systems and methods, including in Body Worn Camera and Operational Safety.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage lower complexity projects whilst supporting more complex initiatives.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
- Experience in interpretation of legislation in a training environment (Desirable).
- Knowledge of administration and collation of evidence requirements for completion of National Vocational Education and Training (VET) Qualifications (Desirable).
