Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals are seeking a dedicated and energetic Allied Health Assistant (Level 2/3) to work in the Allied Health Department.This multidisciplinary allied health assistant will work with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to provide a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families/carers at Camden and Campbelltown Hospital.This position will have the opportunity to work across acute wards including aged care, medical, surgical, and neurology wards and also rehabilitation services in the hospital and in the community. This position is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery including patient bookings, stocktake and ordering, and general administrative tasks.The multidisciplinary allied health assistant will have the opportunity to participate in education and training within both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy departments and support existing mentoring programs of student AHA’s.What you’ll be doingThis position is required to provide a high quality clinical service to clients and their families/carers under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional to optimise health outcomes for the clients of the service. View our for information on how to respond to criteria and . * Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant qualification or Minimum 12 months full-time equivalent relevant experience with commitment to undertake the Certificate IV in AHA within 12month period.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising Allied Health Professional.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels.
- Demonstrated good organisational skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office including management of emails, word processing and database management
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver’s license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner’s licenses are not permitted.
