…If so, you could be a great fit for this role!A DAY IN THE LIFEAs the part-time Legal Accountant/Bookkeeper at Poulus Ensom Smith LLP, you will play a critical role in managing our financial processes. Your typical day will include responsibilities such as:
- Trust Accounting Compliance: Steward client trust funds and proactively ensure compliance with LSBC trust accounting rules. This can include processing deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, and completing monthly reconciliations.
- Day to Day Bookkeeping: Efficiently manage accounts payable and receivable, contributing to the firm’s financial health.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and trust account reconciliations, ensuring all accounting records are compliant with LSBC regulations.
- Audit Preparation: Collaborate with auditors as a trusted partner to streamline audit processes.
- Billing and Invoicing: Play a key role in our billing process by helping prepare client invoices and track payments, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
- Expense Management: Help shape our firm’s future and contribute to financial forecasting by analyzing expenses and assisting with budgeting.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- You have a thorough understanding of LSBC trust accounting regulations and can navigate complex financial landscapes.
- You have a background in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, with a preference for those with legal accounting experience.
- You’re skilled in accounting software (e.g., Soluno) and Excel, with a knack for navigating financial systems.
- Your strong analytical skills ensure accurate financial reporting and record-keeping. Precision is basically your middle name.
