South Western Sydney Local Health District is currently seeking a motivated and talented Clinical Dietitian to join the Growing Healthy Kids Paediatric Weight Management Service. We strive to provide an integrated and family-oriented approach to supporting children and young people who are above a healthy weight and to help them develop positive health habits. You will work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team which also includes administrative support.This role will take a lead role in providing nutrition care to the paediatric obesity management service. This position actively part take in quality improvement and research activities, you will also be involved in clinical supervision of junior staffs.There may be an opportunity for the contract to be extended. This recruitment may be used to fill future permanent or temporary, full-time, part-time positions.What You’ll be Doing
This position is responsible for providing patient centred and high quality nutrition services to clients in SWSLHD Growing Healthy Kids (GHK) Childhood Overweight and Obesity Management Service, including providing nutritional care to patients as per caseload; provide and participate in education and evaluation; supervise students and Level 1-2 dietitian as appropriate; and participate in ongoing professional development. To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible. View our for information on how to respond to criteria and . * Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognized by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
- Relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of complex case load; and extensive specialist knowledge in paediatrics and obesity management or broad generalist knowledge in dietetics.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise independent judgement and as part of the team
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in service development, quality improvement and the application of evidence-based practice within the field of Dietetics.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key partners to facilitate service planning, development, and engagement
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver’s license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner’s licenses are not permitted.
