Requisition ID: REQ526308The Sutherland Hospital is now recruiting to the Clinical Support Officer Casual Pool. The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.Your new role:The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) is responsible for supporting work activities of the Nurses, Medical and Allied Health staff with locally determined shift times based on patient and service delivery needs.

  • The CSO may provide support across the facility or to more than one service.
  • The CSO is required to work closely with existing administrative staff.
  • The CSO role compliments existing roles, systems and processes within the organisation.
  • The CSO is expected to provide timely and accurate administrative / transactional services for members of the healthcare team on their designated ward(s)/ unit(s) under the direction of the NM/ NUM/ MUM/ CNC.
  • The CSO works under broad supervision, however is required to take some independent action. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the ward/unit/ service remain the responsibility of the NM/ NUM/ MUM/ CNC.
