Our client is a Tier 1 client in the Insurance sector. They are seeking an experienced Data Owner / Data Lead with expertise within Finance Data Migrations. This role will be responsible for overseeing data migration activities, ensuring data quality and integrity, and aligning data processes with organizational goals during their transition to SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have strong consulting and analysis skills, in-depth experience in finance data migration, and a proven track record of managing data.Responsibilities
- Define and manage the data strategy for the SAP S/4HANA implementation, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and data governance best practices.
- Oversee the end-to-end data migration process for financial data, ensuring accurate and timely migration from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA. Develop and execute data migration plans, manage data mapping, and understand the requirements from your key stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain data governance standards, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory and business requirements. Develop and enforce data validation and reconciliation processes to maintain high data integrity.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to define data requirements, resolve data issues, and ensure smooth data migration. Act as the primary point of contact for finance data owners, project managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Work with data architects and SAP S/4HANA experts to define data models, support data integration processes, and ensure optimal data flow between systems.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for data migration activities, data mappings, and quality assurance processes. Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on data migration progress, risks, and issues.
- Guide and mentor data analysts and migration team members, providing support in data extraction, transformation, and validation efforts. Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the data team.
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience in data management, with at least 3 – 5 years of experience within finance data migrations.
- Proven experience with SAP Finance modules, including knowledge of financial data structures, data objects, and data migration methodologies.
- Extensive experience in finance data migration.
- Experience with data analysis, governance and management.
- Strong consulting skills, with the ability to manage timelines, risks, and deliverables in complex environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a talent for working across business and technical teams.
- Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
