Meadow Springs Education Support Centre (MSCESC) caters for students from Years K-6 who have an Intellectual Disability and or Autism. Currently we have 95 students in our school from K – Year 6. Based on current enrolments 90% of our students have a primary diagnosis of Autism and 60% of our students have complex communication needs. The Education Support Centre has 10 classrooms that are integrated throughout the Meadow Springs school site. At Meadow Springs our shared belief is that we are two schools but one School Community to which all staff, students and parents belong.Find out more about our school by visiting orThe RoleMSESC is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO) to join their friendly team.The successful applicant will work with the school to develop positive relationships with parents, carers, and the local community. You will ideally support the Leadership team to support and review a Reconciliation Action Plan with the school’s parents, carers, and local community.The successful applicant will ideally possess the ability to use initiative and work independently as well as the ability to work collaboratively with staff and build positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider community of elders. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and Trauma Informed Practices is highly desirable.The successful applicant will ideally support students’ social and emotional needs and support improved attendance and engagement. They should work with students on literacy and numeracy in small intervention groups.
