Step Teachers are working alongside a college in Tower Hamlets who are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support students have full access to educational and industry opportunities, overcome barriers to learning and understand their behaviour and their emotions. The role is full-time long-term with a view to being a permanent appointment. This role is set to commence in November 2024. Interviews will be taking place over the next few weeks so if you’re interested, please apply!Key Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor:
- Conduct one-to-one mentoring sessions with identified students.
- Develop and implement behaviour management strategies.
- Monitor and track student progress.
- As a Behaviour Mentor, you should be able to liaise with SENCO and other support staff.
- Organize activities to engage students during breaks.
- Support students during transitions and out-of-school transfers.
- Act as a role model, exhibiting positive behaviour.
Requirements of a Behaviour Mentor:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Experience in education or a related field is preferred.
- Full vetting compliance.
