The N/MUM1 acts as an advocate for patients/clients and staff and promotes consumer involvement in care delivery.This role and the responsibilities of the N/MUM1 includes a duty of care to staff to ensure that there is a safe working environment and that staff are developed appropriately to meet the service demands and to realise their potential. (Registered Nurse – Division 1)
- Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Nursing Unit Manager – Level 1 or acting Clinical Nursing Unit Manager – Level 1 or Team Leader experience
- Demonstrated relevant clinical nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, manage and develop nursing/midwifery staff
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills including problem solving, balancing competing demands and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
