Do you enjoy planning and have exceptional organizational skills to ensure your success and the success of those around you? If so, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!SOUTHLAND Transportation is looking for a bright, reliable, and friendly full-time Receptionist to join our team. You will work among a team of professionals in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, assisting with various administrative and HR duties when needed. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and a positive first impression of SOUTHLAND and its employees. The shift for this position will be Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a warm welcome to visitors and telephone callers
- Maintain the phone system: answer and direct phone calls received, relay messages and forward e-mails as required
- Prepare, sort and distribute mail, pay statements, logbooks, fuel envelops, and driver runs
- Assign fuel cards and conduct fuel audits
- Maintain common areas, office equipment and supplies
- Communicate between departments, drivers and parents for run updates
- Provide HR assistance when needed
Qualifications
- Previous customer service and office experience
- Knowledge of multi-set reception telephone system
- Excellent telephone etiquette, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and tact
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exceptional organizational, analytic problem solving, and diplomacy skills
- Knowledge of transportation systems an asset
Wage: $18.00 – $21.50/hour
