This role is integral to the Administration Team, providing essential clerical and secretarial support to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Genetic Disease Diagnostic and Counselling Services. Your contributions will help ensure timely and accurate diagnostics and essential counselling for clients and their families. By supporting these processes, you play a vital role in the service’s overall effectiveness, helping families receive the critical support they need during challenging times.Where you’ll be working:
- Hunter Genetics is based at Waratah Campus on the corner of Turton and Tinonee Roads Waratah. Our service operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Free on-site parking is available for staff.
- Hunter Genetics comprises two services: A general Genetics Service and the Genetics of Learning Disability (GOLD) Service. The General Service provides Clinical Genetics Services within Hunter New England and northern New South Wales. The state-wide GOLD Service is a clinical and research service for families with X-linked forms of intellectual disability.

About you:
- You will have proven experience in front desk reception and providing secretarial administration in a medical or a similar field.
- You will have demonstrated experience in keyboarding and office computing skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, Outlook email, and calendar systems.
- You will have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
