- Part-time (0.4 FTE), fixed term until June 2026
- Base salary $86,511 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunityConcord Clinical School is one of the clinical schools of Sydney Medical School and is a major contributor to the University’s reputation and achievements in medicine and the biosciences.We are seeking to appoint a Research Administration Officer to work alongside Professor Janette Vardy at Concord Hospital. The successful candidate will provide administrative support for a range of research activities, including participant engagement, study coordination, data collection and adherence to the research protocol and guidelines.Your key responsibilities will be to:
- provide general administrative assistance for research activities and organise relevant meetings
- recruitment of patients from oncology clinics, with data entry and data cleaning
- assist in the preparation of research documentation, including reports and presentations
- support the submission process for applications and guidelines adherence
- coordinate with the team to produce quality reports, verify data accuracy within university systems, and actively engage in compliance initiatives to uphold regulations
- undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.
About you
- excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including empathy, discretion, and conflict management in dealing with research participants living with cancer, and working within a clinical setting.
- experience working in the higher education sector is desirable
- experience working in operational or administrative roles, supporting research and researchers
- bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training or experience
- strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritize workload during busy periods.
